The heart of the ISIS
system is the Datastore.
The ISIS Datastore is a
central repository
stores all customer,
provider, contact,
email, documentation,
notes, quote requests,
coverage quotes, and any
other related
information in a
centralized database and
document file. This
empowers every business
to access their
information from any
networked PC running
ISIS 7. The need to
"look things up" becomes
obsolete.
ISIS was developed with
a user-centric design to
solve the problem of
storing and retrieving
large amounts of email,
documentation and
electronic data that
exists in the Group
Heath Insurance arena.
Typical organizations
try and compensate for
the vast amounts of
information by creating
paper based files and
lengthy office
procedures. ISIS solves
this issue by utilizing
a centralized database
with a document store.
Each data item is stored
in a central location
where all users can
access it. Separate
copies of the item are
not stored for each
client, which eliminates
problems with users
having to ensure they
are working with the
most current
information. Their
system does not need to
make sure that all
copies of the data are
updated with the current
values, because there is
only one copy in the
central location.
